The stone cottage across the road from Cong Abbey is always covered with ivy. I know that because I watched a tape of the movie, "The Quiet Man", which was shot in Cong, after I got back from Ireland. In the movie – filmed decades ago – the ivy was an Irish green, but we were there in October when it was a beautiful, fiery, every bit as Irish, red. I think Snow White and the dwarfs used to live there.
